“It’s better to talk to plants than human beings” – Joeboy

Popular Nigerian singer, Joseph Akinfenwa Donus, known professionally as Joeboy, has revealed that he talks to plants and trees.

The ‘Baby’ crooner opened up about his unusual relationship with plants and the manner in which he interacts with them while at home.

Joeboy, while being interviewed on the Zero Conditions podcast, said he has four plants in his room that he interacts with.

The 26-year-old also talked about the importance of spirituality, saying one needs to be protected either through the regular prayer to God or via traditional means.

Also speaking on why he has tattoos of trees on his body, the budding afrobeats musician said he is a lover of nature.

Joeboy said; “You need a spiritual backing. It is very very important. If you don’t do jazz , you have to pray. Personally, I like nature. I like plants. I have like four plants in my room.

“I named them Anthony, Themal, Raphael and Vanessa. And I actually talk to them. I just tell them how I feel. I think it’s better to talk to plants sometimes than to talk to human beings.”
