The soundtrack for the next Black Panther movie is in the works at the moment and a list of artists that will likely feature has been released in recent news.
The news of the artists being considered for the soundtrack of the new Black Panther movie has now drawn plenty of reactions due to the notable absence of African artists on the roster. The news was shared via Twitter on Thursday, the 30th of December 2021.
A Black Panther fan page named @bpanthernews revealed on Twitter that Brent Faiyaz, The Weeknd, Doja Cat, Stormzy, and Solange were the artists being considered for the project.
Kendrick Lamar was the executive producer for the original soundtrack to 2018’s Black Panther which featured the likes of Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott.
