The English Premier League has announced the nominees for the player of the month award for September. Manchester United's latest signing Cristiano Ronaldo was part of the players that were nominated for the award.

The shortlist was announced by the body via its official Twitter account on Thursday, September 30th, 2021. Six players from the Premier League were nominated for the monthly award. Manchester City's Joao Cancelo, Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United, Antonio Rudiger of Chelsea.
Other players on the list are Newcastle United's Allan Saint-Maximin, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Watford's Ismaila Sarr.
Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be the favourite to win the awards following his fine run of form since he joined the Red Devils during the summer transfer window from Juventus.
Mohamed Salah will also have a shout for the award. The Egyptian scored his 100th Premier League goal for Liverpool in September.
The award will give given to the player with the most votes before the next round of games after the International break.
