The Afrobeat musician has finally been released on bail, and he quickly announced his freedom with a cryptic message.
Ace Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has spoken about his release from police custody after he was arrested for assaulting a police officer.
The Grammy-nominated singer was arrested on Monday, May 15, 2023, for assaulting a police officer on the third mainland bridge in Lagos.
Seun was charged with assault on a police officer, an offense contrary to Section 356 of the Criminal Code Act, and although the singer was granted bail on May 16, 2023, after Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun ordered police to complete their investigation within 48 hours, he wasn't released until today, May 23, 2023.

Taking to Instagram on the same day he was released, the singer thanked his wife, family, friends, and legal team for standing by him during the saga. He went on to drop a cryptic acronym, which he asked his fans to decipher. He wrote:
