The Super Falconets of Nigeria started their quest to win the U-20 Women’s World Cup which is hosted in France on a winning note.

The West African team won the match 1-0 against France with the only goal of the game in the 87th minute of the game. Florish Chioma Sabastine who played gor Bayelsa Queens last season connected to a pass from Mercy Idoko.
France opened the scoring in the 79th minute through the feet of a substitute of the French team, Nassi but the goal was ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee.
Nigeria play South Korea in her next game on Sunday, August 14th, 2022.
