Sensational singer, Naira Marley has once again been arrested for defying lockdown orders put in place by the government to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
It would be recalled that a few months ago, the rapper and popular Big Brother housemate, Kim Oprah traveled out of Lagos for a drive-by concert at the popular Jabi Lake mall in Abuja. The mall was sealed for two weeks for hosting the concert while Executive Jets Services, the aircraft agency respobile for their flight had their license temporarily withdrawn.
However, the singer has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command months after he flouted the interstate travel ban. The “Soapy” singer was on Thursday, August 6, 2020, arrested and arraigned before the Lagos State Special Offences Court at Ikeja. The Lagos state police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana told Punch that Marley presented himself at the command headquarters.
“We are in court as we speak. He will be arraigned for violating the interstate travel order. That is the aspect that concerns Lagos State,” Elkana said.
