Adekunle Gold has released a statement to address the backlash that surfaced from Simi’s apology to the LGBT community and his feature on a popular LGBT Magazine.
It would be recalled that Simi a few days ago tendered an apology to the LGBT community over her homophobic remarks on her show, “Stoopid Sessions”. However, her apology did not sit well with Nigerians they felt she was being insincere because her husband was recently featured on a Magazine that was a Queer based one.
Following the apology, Adekunle Gold took to Twitter to release a statement concerning the matter. According to him, Simi had no previous knowledge about the feature before her apology and it was a mere coincidence. He further stated that he never contacted the magazine for a feature as his PR team handles all his media relations and agreed to the feature because it was a ground breaking magazine.
