“Naira Marley & His Fans Are Dumb & Illiterates” – Female Ruler of Ondo State Rips Singer Into Pieces

A female traditional ruler, identified as Moyinoluwa Olubunmi Falowo has called out Naira Marley and his fans for being terrible role models to the youths in the country.

According to the Regent, Naira Marley and his fans are dumb people that know nothing but taking drugs and disturbing the society. She added that she has no business with whatever degree the singer has or the foreign university he graduated from and as far as she is concerned he is illiterate and should be banned from the music industry.

In her words, Nigerian music industry is full of many (not all) unintelligent singers. That is why they sing nonsense lyrics with nice loud beats and shoot ridiculous videos. No wonder many of their listening audience are also dumb and clueless. How will one’s IQ and productivity increase when one feeds on rubbish? Their products are young people who care about their looks but with empty head, just like the songs.

I didn’t know who Naira Marley was until recently. I hope the guy feels fulfilled now. I hope in the quiet of his soul, he feels joyful. After all, cults have become more established because of him. Many have further embraced weed smoking and alcohol. Arrogance and carelessness are now more established as marlians don’t graduate.

Yes. Someone would say ‘but all these things have been on ground before Naira Marley started singing’ Yes that’s right. The society has always been battling with moral decadence and evil. But if you can’t help the society, why add to her woes? Why not just let her be?

Many musicians have exchanged their common sense, conscience and wisdom for wealth and fame that are fleeting. But nevertheless, you can only give what you have. Shall we expect light from darkness? Shall we expect inspiration and solutions from people who themselves need help? God help our generation.

I have no business with whatsoever degree Naira Marley has. Or the foreign university he graduated from. As far as I’m concerned, he is an illiterate. His lyrics depicts ignorance and enhances decadence.

He went to a prestigious school but failed to allow himself to be truly educated. He got an enviable opportunity to be exposed to the best of education but only wasted resources. Give that opportunity to someone else and see if they won’t use it well. What’s the benefit of your schooling when no value comes out of it to benefit your world. Even if you don’t wanna add value, why destroy it further. Nonsense!

The two most ridiculous arguments I have seen on social media in defence of Naira Marley are”It is his choice. He didn’t force anyone to be Malian. He is making his money. It is his life. Mind your own business. Go and sing your own”

IS IT UNTIL THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE TREE HE HAS PLANTED GETS TO YOUR DOORSTEP AND BRING TEARS TO YOUR EYES BEFORE YOU KNOW IT IS YOUR BUSINESS? IS IT UNTIL THE DEVIL SNATCHES YOUR CHILDREN BEFORE YOU WAKE UP? AS A YOUTH, IS IT UNTIL YOU WAKE UP AT OLD AGE AND REALISE YOU’VE WASTED YOUR WHOLE LIFE BEFORE YOU KNOW SOMEONE MADE MONEY FROM YOUR FOOLISHNESS?

2. “It is the fault of the government. Our politicians caused all these problems.” GOVERNMENT MIGHT HAVE FAILED YOU. BUT YOU OWE YOUSELF THAT ONE THING NOT TO FAIL YOUSELF AND YOUR CHILDREN. Some of us will continue to speak out. Even if our speaking out changes nothing, we owe God and our generation that much.
