If you’ve ever hired a driver in Nigeria or anywhere near anyone who’s hired a driver, you’ll know it’s quite a tiresome endeavour: first, there’s the issue of getting well trained drivers; second, is that of trust.
Our #BellaNaijaWCW this week Ized Uanikhehi is solving that problem with her TORA Africa platform.
TORA Africa is an academy that recruits, trains, verifies, insures and provides background-checked vehicle drivers for individuals and businesses. Basically, it recruits and trains drivers for deployment to individuals and companies who need them.
Ized has about 13 years experience in marketing and has been focused on bridging the digital and gender divide in Africa in the last 6 years.
She’s the founder and convener of DigiClan, “a tribe of Digital Marketers spanning all aspects of digital marketing that are interested in having one community all across Africa where they can share latest trends and insight, connect with fellow digital marketers and leverage massive opportunities together.”
She’s worked with CNN as a social producer and was director of marketing at Metro Africa Xpress (MAX).
Ized is a first class graduate of Biochemistry from Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State, Nigeria.
She has volunteered with Stand to End Rape, CleanUp Nigeria, and is the founder of JustBinIt, “an NGO creating awareness about the dangers of littering and educating teenager and younger generations about the environment. it aims to drive proper waste disposal.”
She’s one of the women feature in Tech Cabal‘s Tech Women Lagos AUDACITY exhibition.
