Topic: God’s Word Is Always Final [TREM Devotional 20 February 2019]
“And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail, recover all.” – 1 Samuel 30:8 KJV
Beloved, I don’t know what the enemy stole from you. Today, God’s Word says you shall overtake the enemy and without fail, recover all. God’s Word is always final. It is a settled matter. Therefore, you will surely, without fail, recover all that the enemy has stolen. I am excited for you! Whether the devil likes it or not, you will certainly testify of your victory. God is not a respecter of persons. He is giving you the same assurance He gave to David. The Word did not fail David, it will not fail you. You will recover all.
The devil is not holding anything back from you. He is not holding your health, your baby, your husband, your house or your ministry. God has spoken. And His Word is forever settled in heaven. Hold on to His Word until you see the manifestations. Don’t let go of your faith. The scripture says that the just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:17). We walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). The just shall dwell by faith. The Bible doesn’t say the just shall visit faith. Many Christians are merely visiting faith. Yet God’s Word says that is where you should live.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for. It is the evidence of things not seen. Therefore, when a prophetic word goes out, make preparations for it. Don’t just take it as an empty word. In 2 Kings 7, Elisha spoke saying: “Tomorrow about this time, there shall be abundance at the gates of Samaria.” In the natural, it appeared impossible. But God had spoken. And His Word is final. And God’s Word did manifest in exactly 24 hours because it is impossible for His Word to fail. Hold on to His Word. You will never be disappointed.
