Despite the fact that we under estimate RnB songs in Nigeria, some artisted are still making it big when it comes to RnB and their methods of delivery. Kizz Daniel’s Mama and Demmie Vee’s are among the few songs we will be talking about.
Kizz Daniel – Mama
Huge song! Charts topping! Kizz Daniel never disappoints. This changed when he got signed to HND records just about the time Ola dips inked a deal with Reminisce’s LRR record. Demmie Vee took a big steer towards the singing.
Since his signing, he has put out music such as “Awesome God” with 2baba, “Love me tender” featuring 9ice, “Figure 8” and then “Tiff“.
This Antras produced jam is a blend of rich afropop sounds with RNB prominently showcasing his romantic persona. The song is straight to the point and doesn’t outstay it’s welcome. Tiff tells the story of a classic bad boy trying to play the love card.
Demmie Vee employed his signature coarse vocals to communicate his message, which did melt a couple of hardened hearts despite the lyrics being a bit cheesy, the singer did come through on the 124 tempo beat as he ensured everyone could feel the emotions, like you would in a Labyrinth100 tempo, song with little or no percussion.
The length of the song which sits at ‘2:46’ minutes, leaves you yearning for just a little bit more. Antras didn’t fail to deliver on his end. Melodies that’ll strike chords in your hearts and percussion that will not let you stay docile, Tiff is a Jam.
