Every day on the Nigerian internet, there are people who keep our eyes glued to our phone screens as we read their rants, opinions, perspectives on political and social matters, etc. Sometimes, they are just downright ridiculous. We make it our job to take down the names of these noisemakers.
Here’s our list from today:
1. Kelvin Odanz
Nigeria will play against Argentina tomorrow and plateau and its death tolls will be forgotten. Messi and World cup will trend until few days later when another bloodbath occurs. Then another outrage until some other distractions comes along. Tragedy >Amnesia >repeat
— Kelvin Odanz (@KelvinOdanz) June 25, 2018
Dear, we are UNFORTUNATELY unconcerned about deaths anymore as a nation. We simply read the story, sometimes read the headlines and keep scrolling.
As long as the tragic event did not affect any friend or family member, it is not our business. Sad!!!

You bellends don't have empathy or sympathy or tact or sense, and I don't want you around me, even remotely
— Uncle Ebuka (@ToluBablo) June 25, 2018
Hopefully, you translate this ’empathy’ to other tragic events that happen around the country.
3. Proxcey
Please tell them. This digital age ‘shidren’ ehn.
Children nowadays will never know that in our days you could be beaten for any of the following reasons:
– Crying after being beaten
– Not crying after being beaten
– Crying without being beaten
– Standing while the elders are seated
– Sitting while the elders are standing— Proxcey (@Proxcey) June 25, 2018
4. Elnathan John
Why does Dasuki always try to "know fate"? Doesn't he get tired of "knowing fate"? Is fate that hard to know? Why doesn't he give up on fate if fate is being such a diva? Who is fate? pic.twitter.com/IG0eS9TaoU
— The Writer Formerly Known As Elnathan (@elnathan_john) June 25, 2018
Okay, you will first laugh hard at this before you now realise that it is actually a serious issue.
Three years on, Dasuki has yet known his fate. Oga oo!!
5. Nigerian Presidency
UPDATE: The Chief of @DefenceInfoNG Staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin has authorized the deployment of additional Special Forces to Plateau State to beef up the strength of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH). #SecuringNC
— Presidency Nigeria (@NGRPresident) June 25, 2018
Hopefully, with all the “deployments” and the “responses” something standard will be done. We should remember how ‘they’ deployed and deployed to Benue and yet…
We need to start feeling safe in this country.
A foreigner even has concerns:
Just had the chance to check the news of #Nigeria on @AJEnglish after seeing couple of tweets and I’m really sorry to hear and read about what is happening in #Plateau. No matter what excuse they have, killing people does not justify.
Terrorism has no religion

6. Osinachi
Even if you want to argue.
Know when to argue & when not to argue.
Know who to argue with & who not to argue with.
— OSINACHI (@BITO_WALE) June 25, 2018
Okay.
7. Bamikole Omisore
I still cannot understand why we are killing each other in this country. It is getting too much.
